Today I had my classes, first I had contemporary class which was the best of the best. I feel a bit rusty since I hadn’t taken a professional class in a while, my professor Katarina really is free flowing & full of spirit when discussing the mechanics, technique, isolation and coordination of the body. There are only two students in the class, including myself, however it seems to me that we will both get more individual attention on our pieces throughout the semester. We choreographed our own quick combination of 12 counts followed by presenting to each other and where we each explore the other’s creativity and style. Not only that but we learned a nice floor phrase and it made me feel so refreshed again to get back to my roots and feel rounded after all this travel and confusing first couple of days here.

I then walked on to my air quality and atmospheric changes course where it was led by a professor who spoke in a monotone so I actually had to make sure to pay attention extra hard because I felt myself drifting off since the jet lag has been setting in lately. However, we talked about biodiversity, and environmental justice …. I am jumping for joy (literally picture me, meggie q, jumping up and down like the cutie she is) these classes are warming my heart and the Greek professors have some type of energy that makes learning here so great. Can’t wait for tomorrow to see how the rest of my classes are (Intro to Archaeology, Religion in the Mediterranean World, & Spanish III).
greek word of the day: ευχαριστώ… pronounced “efcharistó” meaning thank you
